Armaldo vs. Cradily

This is a battle scene from my older group a couple of years back. I think this is the 11th one I've posted here so far... this is another one of my favorites. Pretty colors... ^^

This is prolly my first real attempt at some deep shadows in a battle scene. Considering the fact that Cradily is powering up a Solarbeam... I had to show the brightness off of Armaldo's body. The background I added made the scene much richer and dramatic.

Penciled and colored by hand; slight blurred effects, deepened tone, background added in Photoshop.
